We measured these against results generated for an old Edwardian property, similar to those in the Gosforth and Jesmond area.

“The Oak’s calculated annual CO2 emissions were just a third of those for our old Edwardian home and with energy use therefore much lower, heating and hot water worked out at almost £1,000 a year more expensive for the old house - at around £1,730 in comparison to just £777 for The Oak.

“In line with Countylife’s superior specification, The Oak’s emissions were found to be a massive 41% better than current building regulations require. With many new build properties designed to merely achieve the very minimum efficiency level, we are delighted to be setting a higher standard for new build too.

““I think it is important that people who are energy or environmentally conscious, realise that they don’t have to compromise on size and style when looking for a high-end new home.”

And high end these properties certainly will be. All rooms are generously proportioned - with extra high ceilings and extensive glazing combining to enhance the palatial feel of the interiors. Bi-fold doors will open onto private terraces and balconies, seamlessly linking indoor and outdoor living spaces, providing the opportunity for alfresco dining and entertaining during the warmer months.
